This incident occurred yesterday morning around 0530. I was working and heard the Rescue guys leaving.
Companies responding were Engine 4, Ladder 24, Rescue 1 and District 3.
Miraculously, the driver of the Boston Globe truck was ambulatory upon arrival. Boston EMS transported the victim.
As standard procedure in the BFD we dispatch an Engine and Ladder Company to all motor vehicle accidents. If there are reports of a rollover, entrapment or anything else out of the norm, a District Chief and Rescue Company also respond.
