A big shout-out to FLT. John Forristall, Engine 10, on his promotion yesterday to Fire Captain. I have known John since 1994 when he worked with FCP. Terry Koen at Engine 33. John was appointed in 1985, transferred to Rescue 1 in 1995 and was promoted to Fire Lieutenant in 2004. Nobody loves this job more than John and he will be an excellent Captain. His next assignment will be in the Special Operations Command division where he'll be responsible for tech rescue training. Congratulations, brother!
